Daniel Hartley – Peasant Modernism (18 June)

We will be joined by Daniel Hartley (Durham) for a discussion of his new book project, Peasant Modernism: The Cultural Logic of Post-Capitalism. Rethinking the peasant as a figure through which to approach ecology, dispossession, and life beyond capitalism, the project asks what peasant thought and practice might contribute to a post-capitalist future.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 18th June at 3pm in the Violet Laidlaw Room (6th floor, Chrystal Macmillan Building).
