Workshop Description
In this workshop we explore with Prof Khoury questions related to historical methods as they appear in her own work. In particular: how to provincialize Europe? How to write histories outside and against the colonial archive? How to take serious forms of knowledge and narratives that fall outside the ordered narratives of subjecthood?
Workshop is open to PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, academic staff, PGR students. A paper will be shared with participants to read ahead of the workshop.
Light lunch will be served during the workshop.
Dina Khoury is Professor Emerita of History and International Affairs at George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs.
