NEWS: Political Theory Retreat for Graduate Research Students

On 17 June 2022, Political Theory PhD students and staff gathered for a day-long retreat organised by CRITIQUE Co-Director, Mihaela Mihai. Students shared work-in-progress during the morning session, and the afternoon was an open opportunity to discuss opportunities and challenges related to a career in academia. Presenters included:

  • Joseph Conrad: The corporation as a moral agent (thesis chapter)
  • Grace Garland: Environmental political theory and the joint biodiversity-and-climate crisis (overview of first-year board paper)
  • Natasha Fricker: Sexual and gender-based violence and transitional justice (overview of first-year board paper)
  • Camilo Ardila Arévalo: The pluriverse and the design of new worlds (thesis chapter)
