NEWS: Summer School Skills course on democratic innovation

Dr Oliver Escobar, CRITIQUE’s Co-Director, is part of the team organising a Summer School course under the aegis of the Edinburgh Futures Institute: “Skills for democratic innovation and the governance of the future”.
This short course, comprising two half-day sessions, will focus on skills for governance that can address systemic issues, with emphasis on short-medium term action based in long-term thinking.
- Monday 20th June, 9.30am – 1pm
Block 1 – What is democratic innovation? + introductions
Block 2 – Case studies of democratic innovation
Block 3 – Process design: How do we design democratic innovation interventions? - Wednesday 22nd June, 9.30am – 1pm
Block 4 – Facilitation and mediation in practice
Block 5 – Design cafe: Change-making
Block 6 – Reflective practice and peer support networks
