NEWS: Environmental Working Group at Learning and Teaching Conference
CRITIQUE’s Environmental Working Group, a student-led group exploring the intersection of political theory and environmental issues, present a 30-minute ‘story’ as part of University of Edinburgh’s annual Learning and Teaching Conference, “Shaping Our Futures”.
Grace Garland, Talia Shoval, and Joseph Conrad share their emergent understanding of what it might mean to ‘environmentalize’ the curriculum of higher education. Drawing inspiration from two events which they organised in 2021 to explore this question, they offer a view that highlights the importance of place-based pedagogy, with ‘thinking’, ‘feeling’, and ‘doing’ components.
